This is a portrait I made this evening of Darrell and a Fallow Deer fawn that was born today. Darrell raises Fallow Deer on his 5 acre farm in Washington a few miles from where we live. It took us 30 minutes to find the fawn because after she’s born her instinct is to find a place in the grass and hide and her coloring made it extremely difficult to see her.
